“Joseph was a good man…” Matt. 1:19a).

The Bible highlights Joseph’s love for Mary and his choice to divorce her privately, emphasizing virtues that inspire us to embody kindness and obedience. This gentle act should motivate us to practice compassion and respect in our own lives.
We also see Joseph’s unwavering commitment to God when an angel visited him and shared about the baby Mary carried; he immediately embraced and obeyed the angel’s instructions without hesitation. This should encourage us to trust in God’s guidance and feel confident in our own obedience.
Seeing how Jesus developed such a loving spirit, we recognize the influence of Joseph’s respect, compassion, and understanding. Jesus learned from his earthly father how to follow God’s law with love, encouraging us to do the same.
One of the most essential lessons Joseph taught Jesus-and that Jesus exemplified-is that love must be the foundation of all we do. Our actions should reflect love as the core of our faith, inspiring heartfelt dedication and gracious service.
I hope to take a deeper dive into the clues in scripture regarding Joseph and how he led his family and his community in the way and truth of God. I want to demonstrate a holy love that recognizes the transformation that occurred in my life to the world. I hope to be more like the earthly father of Jesus, and less like the very flawed soul that lives within me. May we all learn from this incredible man from the Bible, inspiring the audience to pursue their own spiritual transformation with hope and humility.
